The biggest race event in the world, the ADAC Zurich 24-hour race at Nürburgring, draws more than 250,000 spectators each May.
Dörr Motorsport has become firmly established in the Green Hell, having scored several class victories and lap records in their 16 years’ history. This is why Giti Tire selected the team from Frankfurt and their Lamborghini brand as the partner of choice for its first motorsports project in the German-speaking region. The tyre manufacturer aims to be able to better adapt results achieved on racetracks to the road. The preparations start as early as this Saturday at the test and tuning sessions of the VLN Endurance Championship Nürburgring. The Department is in charge of communication.
Giti Tire’s European motorsports director, Tobias Stöckmann, and the owner of the Dörr Group, Rainer Dörr, have now sealed their strategic cooperation at the Dörr Motorsport’s headquarters at Klassikstadt Frankfurt, Germany. The ADAC Zurich 24-hour race at Nürburgring from 25 to 28 May will mark the highlight of the joint endeavour. Tobias Stöckmann: “The Nürburgring’s legendary Nordschleife is full of myths and a place where history and heroes were made. There is no other racetrack in the world where you feel such a tremendous fascination for motorsports as at the Green Hell. We are going to face this challenge together with a true expert of the Eifel rollercoaster.”
